Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Love Notes ("we", "us") is a family-organization app operated by Carpentry Media. You can reach us at support@carpentrymedia.com.

2. What we collect

  • Account info: email address and display name.
  • Family content you create: events, tasks, shopping lists, notes, budget entries, and messages between members of your family.
  • When you connect a Google account: your Google email address, OAuth tokens (encrypted at rest), and the calendars/events you choose to sync.
  • Basic technical data needed to run the service (request logs, error reports). We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

3. How we use your data

Your data is used solely to provide Love Notes features to you and the members of your family group. We do not sell your data, we do not use it to train AI models, and we do not show ads.

4. Google user data — Limited Use

Love Notes' use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, Google Calendar data is:

  • Used only to two-way sync events between your selected Google calendars and your Love Notes family calendar.
  • Never sold, transferred, or used for advertising.
  • Never used to train generalized AI/ML models. No human at Love Notes reads your calendar contents except in the rare case you ask us for support and grant explicit permission.
  • Stored encrypted at rest and accessible only to authorized members of your family group via per-row access controls.

You can revoke Love Notes' access at any time from inside the app (Calendar → Sync settings → Disconnect) or from your Google Account permissions page. Disconnecting removes the synced events from Love Notes.

5. Storage & security

Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Family content is isolated per-family using row-level security so members of one family cannot access another family's data. Sensitive credentials (OAuth tokens, secrets) are stored server-side only.

6. Third parties

  • Lovable Cloud / Supabase — hosting, database, authentication.
  • Google — only when you choose to connect a Google Calendar.
  • Stripe — payment processing for paid subscriptions (when applicable).

7. Your rights

You can view, export, or delete your account and all associated data at any time. Email support@carpentrymedia.com and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Children

Love Notes is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes

We will post updates to this policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated in-app.
